Employment in Public Sector in India has continuously declined from 1991 after the Economic Reforms. It declined from 190.58 lakh persons in 1991 to 176.74 lakh persons in 2008 In this Period central Government, Quasi Governments and Local Governments declined and State Governments increased marginally.
